Since 2006, 91,058 students have experienced our free in-classroom workshop, and we're thrilled that this year another 20,000 kids will become food detectives! To prepare for what promises to be another awesome school year, instructors and staff recently gathered at our fall orientation to learn curriculum updates, hear from our founder Kurt Beecher Dammeier about upcoming initiatives, and more.
After on-boarding, the team welcomed Beecher's Handmade Cheese Head Cheesemonger Brian Gilbert for a lesson and tasting. While Beecher's Flagship Reserve will always have our heart, we sampled several fine cow, goat and sheep cheeses from across the Pacific Northwest.
